About
First Baptist Church of Glenarden’s ID Young Adults call ourselves "ID" because we are IDENTIFIED IN CHRIST.
The young adult community of our church exists to develop faith-based relationships through discipleship, discussion, worship, prayer, service and fellowship.
In order to achieve and realize this aim, we engage in faith strengthening sessions, attend bible study together, host service projects, small group activities, fellowship building activities, and develop content for social media in addition to prayer and worship.
Our Mission
Our Mission is to create Godly environments, relationships, and practical application for the Young Adult community.
Our Vision
To Identify, Equip and Lead young adults to live lives of purpose and passion according to Godly principles and standards.
“Just as our bodies have many parts and each part has a special function, so it is with Christ’s body. We are many parts of one body, and we all belong to each other. In His grace, God has given us different gifts for doing certain things well.”
Romans 12:4-6 (NLT)
Young Adult Pastor
Minister Joshua Jenkins
Josh is a man of faith and courage, who is submitted to God just as his biblical counterpart was. He employs the medium of theater, film and preaching with cutting edge deliverance ministry as its foundation to make relevant to a generation declared out of reach due to the tactics, schemes and strategies that the enemy uses in his quest to get them to abort their destinies.
Joshua is the eldest son of the First Baptist Church of Glenarden’s senior pastor, John K. Jenkins Sr., husband to wife Danielle, and father to sons Jett, Jace and Jude. He is a graduate of Bowie State University, with a bachelor’s degree in mass communication with a concentration in broadcast journalism and a minor in theater. He was licensed as a minister in 2020 and is currently enrolled in Denver Seminary School of Theology pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree.
He is a leader and visionary personified with a heart for the people.
